Born in Hamburg, Germany. 15 years of work in the commercial film production industry. Freelance photographer since 2005. Computer Scientist since 2013. Currently living, studying and working in Berlin.
Photography is my first love. My godfather gave me my first camera when I was four years old, ever scince I’m addicted. I specialise in food, people and urban landscapes. If you like my work and would like to collaborate please contact me. Selected work can be bought at Saatchi Art. A selection of art work can be viewed here, further portfolios on flickr.
After a 15 year career in the commercial media industry (film and photography) I wanted to find out more about how our digital universe actually works. By now I work as a Back End Developer and am enrolled in the Masters Programm of Applied Computer Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany. Currently I focus my research on Big Data and Neural Networks challenges. I perferably write code in Python.
Whenever I have the chance, I pursue my third major passion: walking or cycling for long distances. Escaping daily routines for a couple of weeks or month, and throwing myself into the unknown, calms me incredibly. Whilst discovering personaly unknown territory, such journeys take me on an expedition to myself. Climbing up mountains, cowgirl camping with the stars and travelling by myself makes me feel free; tears of joy, frustration or pain teach me happiness and are profoundly grounding. Read here the blog entries about my expeditions.
