I have always been more into vodka than whiskey. But a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine took me to the Chivas Regal distillery in northern Scotland. We tasted the Chivas 18 and I just loved it. The colour is lovely, so is the way it moves in the glass. Very elegant. But what really stunned me is the smooth taste and smokey nose. Just a combination I had never discovered in whiskey before. A sip of this great blend after a nice dinner on a cold christmas night rounds it up for me. Enjoy!
